IDUKKI: In the light of the repeated incidents of roadside armed robberies at the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border area in the Kambam Mettu road, armed police have been assigned in the place for the protection of travellers. The police will patrol the area all day. Tamil Nadu police will also inspect in areas that come under their range.

More officers have been assigned during the night time. The police team will be equipped with pistols and rifles. Tamil Nadu police will also inspect in areas that come under their range.
