KOCHI: In the wake of Kerala police appearing in news for all the wrong reasons, former DGP T P Senkumar has taken a dig at current DGP Loknath Behera.
“When I see the law and order problems in the State now I even doubt whether there is any DGP in Kerala. One policeman burns another policewoman to death and another policeman goes missing. If all this had happened when I was the DGP, I should have been squarely blamed for all that…” Senkumar said.
Senkumar was speaking at a function organised by Kochi Lottery Club Bookers’ forum. “When Pinarayi Vijayan became the chief minister, he first removed me as DGP but when I returned to that chair through legal fight, he appointed a person to spy me. Then he made a story that I beat him…but I should have given him as lap or two,” Senkumar said sarcastically.
Senkumar added that he would soon enrol as an advocate and would use always his liberty to speak out truth.
Meanwhile, the former DGP said there was no change in his stand against Nambinarayanan in ISRO espionage case.
