THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaking to the reporters, P.J. Joseph said that as the working chairman of the party only he can summon a state committee meeting. The meeting was not called upon by someone who has the power to convene one, he said.

The state committee meeting convened in the name of Kerala Congress (M) was unauthorized, Joseph said. The decisions of the meeting are not valid. The claim that members 312 state committee members took part in the meet is false. Most of the members who attended were not part of the committee. It was just a crowd electing the chairman, he added.

Kerala Congress (M) will be led by deputy chairman C F Thomas, secretary (office) Joy Abraham, Parliamentary party secretary Mons Joseph, Thomas Unniyadan and Arakkal Balakrishnapillai, Joseph said.

Meanwhile, three leaders of the Mani faction changed places and joined Joseph faction. Changanassery MLA C F Thomas, Iringalakkuda former MLA Thomas Unniyadan and general secretary Joy Abraham have shifted to Joseph faction.
