CHAVAKKAD: Leaving her one year child behind, woman married a man whom she came to know through the social media app, Tik-Tok. Her marriage didn’t last long as the newlywed husband ditched her within hours when he came to know the incident. She married her lover by concealing the fact about her past marriage and child. The woman was then charged with Child Rights violation and remanded. Her husband is working abroad.

The mother left the child with the neighbour and went to see her lover.

On Saturday, the two married at a temple in the presence of relatives. But, the relatives of the woman’s lover got information that the bride is a mother and was married before. Left in a desperate situation, the woman made a call to her house and detailed the incident.

The police were already in search for the woman as her brother filed a missing case. She was later brought to her native place by the police, but she was not welcome at her own residence and husband’s house. She was charged with a case for leaving the child and is now remanded at Thrissur Women’s Prison.
