MOOVATTUPUZHA: Eleven persons including students and a teacher sustained injuries on International Yoga day after a car rammed into a school Assembly. The condition of teacher is serious. The incident happened on Friday morning at around 8 at a private school in Moovattupuzha Kadathi Valakkuzhy road.

The teacher, Revathy, was shifted to Kolancherry hospital and students have been admitted to nearby Nirmala hospital and Moovattupuzha MCS. Ironically, the car of the administrative officer of the same school had lost control and rammed into the school assembly.

The mishap occurred when all were entering the ground to perform yoga.

The injured persons are Ganga K S (12), Vismaya Vinaykumar (12), Devika Rajesh (12), Amitha Anil (12), Adhra Vimal (12), Archana Rajesh (12), Devika Aji (12), Karthika G (12), Ananthu Kurup (12), Hari Govind (12), and Advait Aniruddh (12).

Moovattupuzha police later reached the place. According to them, the driver pushed down the accelerator instead of break, resulting in the accident.
