KOTTAYAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that he would hold discussion with Jose K Mani on Monday to resolve the disputes in Kerala Congress (M).
Meanwhile, Jose K Mani said in Kottayam that nobody had yet invited him for discussion. “If invited, I will attend. But nobody has invited me for a discussion until now. The two leaf symbol was given by the election commission. Kerala Congress in not against consensus. We are interested in a compromise”, Jose K. Mani said.
Meanwhile, the Jose K Mani faction is holding a steering committee meeting at Kottayam on Sunday. The meeting is being held at the house of media coordinator Viji M Thomas. Jose K Mani faction claims to have the support of 62 out of the 99 steering committee members in Kerala Congress (M). They said that 59 among them are taking part in the meeting on Sunday.
Following the split of Kerala Congress (M), the women sector of the party also split apart. Women Kerala Congress (M) Chairperson Sheela Stephen declared support for Joseph and criticized Jose for the rift. Women Kerala Congress (M) stated that they would work with P.J. Joseph and C.F. Thomas.
