KANNUR: Mobile phones and solar chargers were seized from the central jail in a raid conducted here. They were found hidden in a bucket. The raid was conducted again by a team led by jail superintendent. Two mobile phones and the chargers were found hidden under the bucket seized from the sixth block of the jail.

Jail DGP Rishiraj Singh has directed to continue the raid as mobile phones were seized continuously. It has been directed to shift those from whom the mobile phones were seized.

In addition, the SIM cards used in phones have to be recovered. The mobile phones seized did not have any SIM cards. So, using the IMEI number can trace the person who used the phone. A raid was conducted at the Kannur Central Jail by a team led by DGP Rishiraj Singh last Saturday. Mobile phones and knives were seized in the raid. Almost ten phones were seized in a raid conducted. Following that, a raid was conducted again.
