KOLLAM: A youth stabbed a minor girl for rejecting his love in Sasthamcotta. The girl has been admitted at the medical college hospital in the capital city. Reports say the girl is in a very critical condition. The accused has been identified as Ananthu, a bus employee.

The youth got inside her house early Monday morning after removing the tile of her house. He stabbed her thrice using a screwdriver. When the inmates of the house woke up hearing her cries, he had fled the place.

The girl who was first taken to Sasthamcotta taluk hospital was later referred to Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital. Her relatives said he had been disturbing her for quite some time. He got irked after she rejected his love. This may have forced him to take the extreme step.
