IDUKKI: Jail DGP Rishiraj Singh has ordered probe against Peerumedu jail employees in connection with the custodial death of Rajkumar. The investigation will be led by jail DIG Sam Thankayyan. The jail DGP has asked to submit the probe report within four days.

Statements were taken from Rajkumar’s mother and neighbours. Rajkumar’s neighbours stated that he was beaten during the examination of evidence. Meanwhile, his family has approached the CM and DGP requesting a CBI probe on the incident.

As the CM gave assurance, the family has backed off from further protests.
