KANNUR: Another instance of daylight has been reported at Thalassery in Kannur. After assaulting a gold merchant, half sovereign gold was robbed. Srikanth Kadham, a native of Sangli in Maharashtra is the victim.

The offenders came on a bike and hit Sreekanth, who was on way to his shop and snatched the gold. This was a planned robbery on Sreekanth, who is doing gold business in Thalassery for a long time, police sources say. However, the police haven’t yet received any clues on the culprits. A team of three on a pulsar did the crime, it is learnt.

The police have started checking CCTV cameras for possible clues. In a similar incident, a team had snatched Rs 12 lakhs from a merchant recently in Thalassery.
