KOCHI: A major fire broke out at a shoe shop in Thoppumpady, Kochi. All efforts are being taken to douse the flames. Seven fire force units have reached the spot. The fire broke out at the shoe shop Marzal located at Thoppumpady. The shop is functioning in two storeys. There was a huge stock in the shop. The fire is almost under control. Fire force is taking all efforts to see that fire does not spread to other shops. K G Maksy MLA said short circuit is suspected to be the reason for the incident.
