Online scam using the pic of actress Beena Antony. A site named ‘Career Journal’ is using the pic with a name ‘Aabha Karpal’. The description of the site reads that one can earn Rs 4.5 lakh per month.

Talking to Keralakaumudi, Beena Antony said that she is not related to this site. She also said a complaint will be lodged with the police.

Meanwhile, the scam surrounding ‘work from home’ is increasing by the day. These sites con people by giving newspaper advertisements which read ‘earn lakhs working from home’. Advertisements of data editing, data entry, copy paste and online works are mostly fake. These ads usually have only phone number or mail address as contact. They charge money in the name of a service charge or activation fee. Most of these scammers are based in Ernakulam, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, etc.
