MALA: A groom kept waiting for his just-wed wife for three hours outside an examination centre as the latter was busy writing her exams.

Only half an hour was left between the marriage muhurtham and exam time. Thirty kilometres have to be crossed in this time. Still, Arya Krishna’s decision was to write the exam. When groom Akhil and his relatives stood with her, she was able to reach the exam hall on time to write the B.Ed exam.

The marriage of Arya Krishna, daughter of Sadanandan and Suma of Manakulangara in Kodakara and Akhil of Kuzhikkattusseri Vadakoottu House, was fixed to July 8 at 9.30 am. The exam scheduled to be held on July 3 was postponed to July 8. The date of postponement was obtained after all arrangements and invitations were completed. When all advised her to skip the exam, she and Akhil decided to write the exam.

Soon after the thalikettu held at Mahavishnu Temple at Kodakara, she along with the groom and some of his friends rushed to Dr Palpu Memorial B.Ed College at Aanappuzha to write the exam. When many were astonished to see her in her bridal attire, her friends knew in advance.

After the exam got over at 12.30 pm, she hurried back to the marriage hall.
