KUMBALAM: A youth was murdered and dumped in a swampy area at Nettoor in Ernakulam. The dead has been identified as Arjun (20), a native of Kumbalam. The police have taken four of his friends into custody in connection with the incident. His body was found dumped in a swampy area.
The body was found Wednesday evening at 4.30 pm. A missing complaint was lodged at the Panagad police station a week ago. He was found missing from July 2nd. However, there have been widespread complaints that the police did not investigate the case seriously. Arjun was the son of M S Vidyan of Mannanattu in Kumbalam.
The missing compliant lodged had suspected the hands of Arjun’s friends Rony and Nipin. The police however left them after questioning. Arjun’s father had filed a habeas corpus in the Kerala High Court. A case was registered after the intervention of representatives and others. The body was found in between this. Four of his friends were taken into custody and the police are questioning them.
The murder was committed on the belief that Arjun was responsible for the death of one of his friend’s brother.
