THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Soon after the stabbing of Akhil, a student of University College in the capital city, stoked a controversy, students of the college came forward with more allegations against the SFI. A student of the college told a private channel that the money collected for the floods last year has been swindled. Various departments of the college collected money.

An amount of Rs 25,000 was collected from the English department alone. When more money was collected from eighteen departments in a similar manner, only an amount of Rs 1,00,000 was handed over to the chief minister at a function held. The student had lodged a complaint for cheating and following that Nazeem, accused in Akhil case, and his team brutally attacked Ambady Shyam for levelling the complaint. The student had lodged a complaint to the police.

The student had revealed that SFI leaders who unleash violence in the college had collected money illegally. They used to pawn ornaments of girl students, he said.
