THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The functioning model of the SFI forcing students to participate in organisational programmes is seen in some organisations of government employees. Following the stabbing issue, there were many revelations from the side of the students against the SFI and now government employees have secretly voiced the same. If there are protests or meeting, some organisations force employees to take part in it. There will be threats and stress if not attended and so they keep aside their work and attend it. The organisational leaders rarely pay any attention to it. These types of practices are taking place in government offices from organisations of ruling and opposition fronts.

The employees are forced to pay money demanded by the organisations. If opposed it, there will be threats like transfer etc. Recently an amount of Rs 1500 was collected from each employee for an organisation of the ruling front as part of some meet. The employees say fearing transfer threat the amount will be paid. Not only members, other employees are also not spared.

Even the office chief cannot prevent them from going for protests and all. Like the lecturers controlled by SFI, the office chief also faces pressure from the organisations. Organizational leaders will also be watching whether employees are participating in demonstrations and meetings.
