THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The syndicate has decided to conduct a probe on the incident of the answer sheets of Kerala University going out. The answer sheets were recovered from the house of Sivarenjith, first accused in the stabbing case. The syndicate meet assessed it as a serious lapse. They decided to entrust a sub panel to probe the incident. The syndicate meet convened here today decided to seek a police probe also.

It has been confirmed that the answer sheets recovered from Sivarenjith’s house were leaked from the University College. The university grants answer sheets to each college as per roll number. Some of the answer sheets handed over to the college on 5-11-2015 and 1-4-2016 were found to have gone out. The report submitted by the exam controller has mentioned that some from them were recovered from his house.

A preliminary investigation based on serial numbers in the confiscated answer sheets, it has been confirmed that that the sheets were leaked from the college itself. Rest of the papers which are in the hands of the police have been ordered to scrutinise. Answer sheets were found lost like this in two years.


The syndicate meet assessed that answer sheets have been lost since 2016. This has to be examined in detail.
