THALASSERY: Thalassery Brennen College in-charge Principal K Falgunan has complained that ever since he pulled down the flag mast of the ABVP and handed it over to the police, the ABVP men have been threatening him.

“I fear for my life now and I have asked for the police protection,” he told media persons.

The other day Falgunan had removed the flag mast of the ABVP from the college premise and this was widely criticised by the ABVP, Yuva Morcha and the BJP.

Today noon also ABVP workers made a failed attempt to erect the flag mast, resulting in mild skirmishes between the police and the ABVP students.

The police had taken the stand that they could erect the flag pole after getting permission from the principal.

Meanwhile, Falgunan said that the flag was erected again without his permission.
