THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The march staged by youth congress activists announcing support to KSU in the University College strike, turned violent on Monday. Police used teargas, resorted to lathicharge and used water cannons towards the protestors. Stones and bottles were thrown at the police. Policemen including the circle inspector sustained injuries in the clash. The activists are besieging the M G Road.

Activists of the youth congress and KSU staged a march seeking a judicial probe on the violent incidents in University College. The police resorted to lathicharge when the march turned violent. The march was staged alleging that a decision has not been taken even after eight days of the incident. The march started from the venue of hunger strike staged by KSU state president K M Abhijith.
