THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The indefinite hunger strike staged by the KSU in front of the secretariat seeking a probe on the clashes in University College, has been called off. KSU state president K M Abhijith, Jasheer Pallivel, Nabeel Kallamabalam and Jobin C Joy ended their hunger strike on the eighth day. Those on strike were shifted to the hospital when the march staged by the Youth Congress giving support to KSU turned violent today. The health condition of the protestors deteriorated when the police used tear gas and grenade towards the protestors and so they were shifted to the hospital. Dean Kuriakose MP said the strike staged by the KSU is being taken over the by the Youth Congress. Strikes will be strengthened in the coming days, he said.
