THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following the events which took place in University College recently, recent reports suggest that the college authorities have been illegitimately helping student leaders to pass their exams.
It is said that there will be a Chief Superintend in every college who will be in charge of conducting University exams and in most colleges it will the Principal who will be performing this duty. However, reports suggest that mostly clerks and peons handle this role in the government colleges where the post of Chief Superintend is only for namesake. These clerks and peons possess the key of the shelf in which answer papers are kept. In short, it is this group who actually control the conduction of exams.
After the exams, the invigilators hand over the answer papers to the staff instead of the Chief Superintend. These staff will be in charge of packing the papers subject wise and handing it over to the University officials. However, reports suggest that the student leaders can make the necessary correction and exchange their answer sheets with the help of the college staff in the meantime. Thus even those students with very less attendance in class have been able to score high marks in their exams.
