Big budget film Mahaveer Karna will start rolling next year. Mega star Vikram revealed this while he was in Thiruvananthapuram the other day. Vikram will be acting next in the film to be directed by Ajay Jnanamuthu and after that, he will join the sets of Ponniyin Selvan, to be directed by Mani Ratnam. After completing these two films he will go to act in Mahaveer Karna. Certain online media had falsely reported that the first schedule of Mahaveer Karna had been completed.

Vikram said he is growing his hair for the special look in Ponniyil Selvan. This Maniratnam film based on a historical novel, which has five volumes, will go on the floors next month. Interestingly, Jayaram will have a significant role in the film.

There are also reports that Maniratnam team had approached Keerthi Suresh with an offer for an important role. The character’s name is Kunthavai.

Karthi and Jayam Ravi will also be appearing in meaty roles.
