KALPETTA: A couple was brutally beaten up in Wayanad. The couple, natives of Tamil Nadu, were attacked Sunday night. The video of the attack has gone viral in the social media.

Police asked auto driver identified as Jeevanandan from Ambalavayal to appear in the station in connection with the incident. A case was not registered as a complaint was not lodged. District police chief is conducting a probe as the video has gone viral.

The woman was beaten when she questioned the auto driver for attacking her husband. Eyewitnesses present there shot the video. It has also been alleged that the police had settled the case.
