NEW DELHI: The Selection Committee announced the Indian squads for Test, ODI and T20I formats on Sunday. The team, which will tour West Indies next month, consists of some talented youngsters who are looking forward to making their international debuts.

The West Indies tour will be a turning point for these youngsters who are believed to be the future of Indian cricket. Let us look at these promising talents.

Shreyas-Iyer

Shreyas Iyer is widely considered as one of the best budding talents in the country. The youngster, who is already the captain of IPL side Delhi capitals, has impressed many with his batting and captaincy talent in domestic circuits. Though he has already made his ODI debut in ODIs, the upcoming tour is believed to cement his place in the side as India’s much-needed middle-order batsman.

Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar is already a well-known face among those who follow the Indian Premier League. Though he has made his debut in T20I and ODIs, he was not able to make a mark due to the presence of senior bowlers. However, with the senior bowlers rested Deepak will be able to showcase his talent in the upcoming tour. Rahul Chahar

Deepak Chahar’s younger cousin is another prominent face who is set to make his international debut. The right-arm spinner has been instrumental in guiding his team Mumbai Indians to win their fourth IPL trophy. Deepak has also bowled well for the India A side in unofficial tests and one day matches.

Navdeep Saini

Navdeep Saini has been noted for his ability to consistently clock 145kmph speed and his performance for RCB in IPL 2019 has been excellent. With more than 60 List A wickets at an impressive economy rate, Saini is all set to become India’s spearhead in the future.

Washington Sundar

This young off-spinner from Tamil Nadu is noted for his economical bowling. Though he has been in and out of the national team, he is hoping to make a mark through his tight bowling in the upcoming West Indies series. It must be noted that he also enjoyed great domestic and IPL seasons.
