KOCHI: CPM leaders have been involved in house visit sessions off late in to learn the reasons behind their shocking Lok Sabha defeat. According to sources, the party is hoping to rebuild its image among the public through the program ahead of the upcoming local government elections.

As per the leaders, the house visit sessions are important as they allow the leaders to know about their shortcomings and make necessary corrections. The leaders also aim to sort out the misconceptions regarding the party among the general public. It is learnt that most of the voters seem to suggest Sabarimala issue as a major reason for opting against the communist party.

Recently, P Rajeev has come up with a Facebook post regarding the house visit program. According to him, many people have questioned him about the Sabarimala issue thinking that it is the LDF Government that allowed the entry of women into the temple. While these section of the people are unaware of the Supreme Court order allowing the entry of women, some opposition groups spread messages through Whatsapp and Facebook blaming the Pinarayi Vijayan led government for trying to destroy their beliefs.

P Rajeev ends his posts by noting that people are now realising the truth after seeing the latest comments made by Central ministers regarding the issue. He also suggested that the house visit sessions are necessary to convey the truth to the public.
