KOCHI: A citizen of Saudi Arabia is under surveillance for distributing cards with the address of a website spreading the messages of a community, at a mall in Kochi. The cards were distributed to youths visiting the mall. He was questioned by various secret investigating agencies yesterday. The police directed him staying in a hotel not to go out without their permission.

The 50-year-old middle aged man was found distributing visiting cards to the youngsters asking them to contact him on ‘chat4truth.com’. Some who got the card entered the site and found that the ideas of a community were propagated in it. To get details from the website, the person’s address including the person's e-mail address should be entered. Some passed the information to the police.

He told police that he was distributing the cards given to him by someone. He said that it was a mistake as he was not aware of the laws in India. The police have not fully believed this.

He reached Kerala on a medical visa as part of his daughter’s treatment. His daughter is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the city. They have come to Kerala earlier also. But this is the first time he is visiting Kerala. The police have taken into custody his passport and other documents. Various intelligence agencies will question him today also.
