MALAPPURAM: A Bus conductor who misbehaved with students and refused to drop them at their stops has been asked to undergo a different kind of punishment. Malappuram District Collector Jaffer Malik has asked the conductor to work as a caretaker at Shishu Bhavan for 10 days.

The news about the model punishment has been posted by the Collector on his Facebook page. Earlier, the collector had received a complaint about the conductor who works in a bus that runs through Manjeri-Parappanangadi route. In the complaint, it was said that the conductor behaved rudely to a student and her brother, and also refused to stop the bus when they asked it to be stopped. Following this, an investigation was conducted and the conductor was asked to serve the children for 10 days.

In his Facebook post, the collector states that private bus employees must make necessary changes in their attitude towards students. As per his order, the conductor has to work from 9 am to 4 pm in Thavanur Shishu Bhavan for 10 days under the supervision of Shishu Bhavan superintendent.
