FUJAIRAH: Case was filed against a man in the Fujairah Court for breaking his son's mobile phone. The trial on this case has begun. Court records showed that the man separated with his wife. The mother won the custody of her children, including the son involved in the cell phone case.

The court permitted the father to see and check on his children as per scheduled visits.

During one of these visits, the father got upset while checking the cell phone of his son. He found a number of "unacceptable friends, including a girl", in his son's Facebook account. The angry man scolded the boy and broke his mobile phone.

The mother lodged a complaint against his father at the Fujairah Police. She accused her former husband of assaulting her son and breaking his cell phone. The police filed the case as it was necessary evidence.

The defence lawyer told the court that the father was only disciplining his child.
