KOLLAM: Seven SFI activists including unit secretary and president, who were suspended from SN College here has been reinstated after giving several assurances which includes stopping union activism inside the campus. They give their promise in writing. The students from suspended from the college as part of disciplinary action for abusing teachers and forcing students out while attending classes.
The SFI unit of the college was reluctant to agree with the suggestions put forward by the college authority. However, on Thursday they accepted all the clauses of the authorities. They requested to reinstate the suspended members after agreeing to give assurances.
The union leaders signed papers with a clause that they will be dismissed for any further disciplinary violation. Keralakaumudi has published several reports regarding the activity of a section of students in the name of SFI. The SFI unit of the college protested against Keralakaumudi for reporting this and campaigned against the daily on social media. However, as the college authority and management took a stringent stand, the union leaders had to bend down.
