Malayala Cinema has forgotten actor K.T.S. Padannayil. The current generation is not familiar with this senior and his classic smile. He was a part of hit movies like ‘Adyathe Kanmani’, ‘Aniyan Bava Chettan Bava’, ‘Kadhanayakan’ and ‘Amma Ammayiamma’.
K.T.S. Padannayil who joined ‘AMMA’ when the membership fees was Rs 5000, now receives the same amount as pension from the organization. But, Padannayil is disappointed with the consideration he gets even at a meeting of ‘AMMA’.
“Nobody even gives the consideration that I am a senior. I have heard the word ‘attitude’. But they made me understand what that really means”, Padannayil said.
“I see a lot of people at meetings of ‘AMMA’. I look at them and they look back. But as a senior, nobody asks me about my well-being. Then I need not converse with these kids. If they don’t recognize, I also won’t”, he added.
Padannayil recalls the affection of actor Jagathy Sreekumar. “I have done roles as Jagathy’s father in lot of movies. Innocent also used to talk with me. But some people make me think of their deceitful attitude”, Padannayil said.
