THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The RTI act amendment bill was passed in Lok Sabha recently amidst Opposition resistance. Administrative Reforms Commission V S Achuthanandan on Saturday criticised Modi for the amendment bill through his Facebook page.
“Has Modi government put a bridle on the RTI act? It is the last nail in the coffin of a citizen’s right to information. This means that Modi government is scared of the impartiality and independent functioning of the Act.
The RTI commission’s powers and is now at Modi’s mercy.
RTI questions have begun to pester Modi. No answer is being given to questions based on the prime minister’s office.
When questions were raised on note ban, civil unrest, his educational qualification, this was the crooked path he found to hide the answer…
But there won’t be much life for the ill-intention of the government to block questions, rising in the minds of people, using law. The administrators had better know this,” V S wrote on his Facebook page.
