THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said even Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticised the police lathicharge at the CPI march towards the DIG office in Kochi. The chief minister announced a probe against the police after I demanded it and I don’t have the habit of hurling bad words at him daily, he said.
On sticking posters against him in Alappuzha, Kanam said the complaint should be levelled at the party forum and the party has taken it seriously, he said. One can criticise the secretary also. If there is any truth in the allegation, action will be taken against the party secretary, he added.
Meantime, a case has been registered against CPI leaders for staging a march to the DIG office in Kochi seeking the suspension of Njarakkal circle inspector. Ernakulam district secretary P Raju and Eldo Abraham MLA have been named as the first and second accused. Ten including state committee member have been included in the list of accused. The FIR has mentioned that the march was staged without permission and created the march intentionally.
