CHENNAI: The Big Boss Tamil reality show has always managed to raise a few eyebrows since its beginning. Now, it has once again evoked an outrage as one of the participants in the reality show admitted that he used to molest women while travelling in crowded buses.

It was actor Saravanan who admitted to molesting women while he used to travel in buses during his college days. The actor made this statement when he was asked about the difficulties faced during bus journeys. However, social media quickly noted the actor’s words and soon many came up criticising him. Some also criticised host Kamal Hassan for not reacting to the insensitive comments made by the participant.

Singer Chinmayi, who expressed discontent through her official Twitter page, also criticised the audience who were seen cheering the actor’s statements. She said, “A Tamil channel aired a man proudly proclaiming he used the Public Bus Transport system to molest/grope women - to cheers from the audience.” The controversial statement has managed to create widespread protest in Tamil Nadu.
