KOTTAYAM: More key details about the custodial death of Rajkumar has surfaced following the re post-mortem. Injuries that weren’t found in the initial post-mortem was spotted in the repost-mortem. In the first post-mortem, along with internal injuries, pneumonia was cited as the cause for Rajkumar’s death.

In the recent post-mortem, several injuries that weren’t spotted initially were found. There are marks of forceful separation of legs. There are wounds on the chest, thigh and abdomen. Re post-mortem has found that these injuries might have led to death. Thrashing in custody or outside could’ve been the cause of death, the re-post-mortem states.

The internal organs of Rajkumar will be sent for expert tests. Only after the final report, the extent of Rajkumar’s pneumonia can be found.

A medical team from Palakkad did the repost-mortem at Kanjirappally Taluk Hospital. Samples for DNA testing have also been taken from the dead body.
