MUMBAI: CPI leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s son Binoy Kodiyeri has said he expects a favourable verdict from the court in the case in which he is accused of sexually abusing a UP dance bar girl after offering to marry her. “The truth will come out once the DNA test report is out,” he said.
Binoy had given his blood sample for DNA test. The blood sample was given to the forensic lab in Kalina in Mumbai. The police had denied him permission to get the test done in the hospital that was engaged for the test, earlier.
The high court division bench asked about the progress of the DNA test while it was considering Binoy Kodiyeri’s petition, seeking the cancellation of FIR against him in the case.
The woman’s counsel had argued in the court that Binoy was breaching anticipatory bail conditions by not going to give the blood for the DNA test.
