THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The price of Indian Made Foreign Liquor that has been revised by Beverages Corporation will come into effect from today (Friday).

There is no hike for popular brands but poor people’s ‘Scotch’- Jawan rum will cost Rs 500 per litre while its earlier price was Rs 480. The new brand will be known as Jawan 3X rum. There is no price hike for other Jawan brands.

For brands that are not in demand in the market, there is a decrease of Rs 10 to Rs 50. The price of Bacardi Classic Black (full bottle) has been reduced to Rs 980 from Rs 1230.

Various companies have registered about 400 new brands. Bevco has not increased the price of current brands. Old brands in new names were brought out to offset this.

For most beer brands, there is a slight reduction in the price. King Fisher Ultra Maximum Premium beer will cost Rs 150 (Old price Rs 190)
Ultra Premium will cost Rs 140 (Old price Rs 160). SNJ 10000 Super Strong will cost Rs 80 (old price Rs 90).. There is no change in the price of Foreign made foreign liquor.
