KOZHIKODE: A woman got seriously injured after being subjected to acid attack in Kozhikode today evening. It is learnt that she was also stabbed by Subash, her ex-husband. The incident occurred at Karassey in Kozhikode.

According to latest reports, the woman is currently undergoing treatment in Kozhikode Medical College. Her father revealed that Subash had threatened her several times since they got separated. According to locals, Subash attacked the woman when she was on her way back from a nearby temple. They said that he first threw acid on her face before stabbing her with a knife and immediately fled the scene. Police have discovered the knife used by Subash and investigation has commenced.
