ALAPPUZHA: Minister G Sudhakaran came down heavily on IAS officer Sreeram Venkitaraman involved in the accident claiming the life of a scribe Saturday morning. There are many more people in the state like Sreeram Venkitaraman, he said. Driving vehicles in an inebriated stage is stupid. IAS officers are not gods, they are only human beings, he said while talking to the media. No one is going to get better just by getting IAS. It is only an exam, he added.

K M Basheer of Siraj daily was killed in an accident involving IAS officer Sreeram Venkitaraman Saturday morning. The incident happened on the opposite side of Museum. Sreeram was in an inebriated stage at the time of the incident. Wafa Firoz, a model in the Gulf, was with him at the time of the incident.

Sreeram was returning after throwing a party as part of entering service after pursuing higher studies abroad. Sreeram, arrested in the case, is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the district.
