MANGALURU: The post mortem report of Café Coffee Day owner VG Siddhartha was released by Government Wenlock Hospital on Saturday. It is learnt that the cause of death is said to be heart attack which occurred due to the mental pressure before jumping to the river.
According to the report, Siddhartha’s death might have occurred on the first minute in which he fell into the river which is why the body did not swell up in spite of remaining in water for over 36 hours. However, the mystery regarding the absence of T-shirt is yet to be explained.
Police also made it clear that they had discovered Siddhartha’s mobile from his dead body but did not reveal it as they doubted that there might be foul play to destroy evidence regarding the final calls made by Siddhartha. Police are currently investigating the calls made by Siddhartha before attempting suicide and expect to submit the final report within one week.
