HYDERABAD: A farmer from Hyderabad was blessed by lady luck as he won 28 crore rupees in Abu Dhabi Big Ticket. Vilas Rikkala, a former Dubai resident, had returned to Hyderabad just one month ago after losing his job in Abu Dhabi.

Vilas, who is still unable to believe his luck, said that he bought the lottery after borrowing 20000 rupees from his wife. "I don't have words to describe it. This is like a dream. I worked in a Dubai firm for 4-5 years and then left. And now I have this jackpot. This will take some time to sink in," he said. He also added that this is his first lottery win despite participating in several events including that of Dubai Shopping Festival.

It has been reported that several other Indians found their names in the winners’ list.
