NEW DELHI: Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wished his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi with a special message on Friendship Day. The message was posted by the Israel Embassy in India through their official Twitter handle.

The tweet read, “Happy Friendship Day 2019 India! May our ever strengthening friendship and growing partnership touch greater heights." It also included a line from the famous Hindi song ‘Yeh dosti hum nahi todenge’ which meant ‘We will not break this friendship.’ The embassy also shared a video showing the two PMs sharing a light moment during Netanyahu’s previous visit to India.

PM Modi responded to the tweet by thanking for the wish and expressing his wish to further strengthen the ties between the two countries. It must be noted that Modi’s picture was featured in the election campaigns of Netanyahu.

Happy #FriendshipDay2019 India!

May our ever strengthening friendship & #growingpartnership touch greater heights.
