THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hearing on the bail plea of IAS officer Sreeram Venkitaraman, accused in the killing of scribe K M Basheer with a car under the influence of alcohol, has been postponed to tomorrow. The officer’s lawyer said there is political media pressure in the case. The investigating official sought his custody in the court and wanted his finger prints to be examined.
Meantime, Health Minister K K Shailaja said there is no special consideration for him in the medical college hospital. The minister said that he will get only the consideration of a common man. She said that she has not spoken to the doctors of the hospital and has directed the medical board to assess things.
