KOCHI: Former DGP T P Senkumar has said that the decision to scrap Article 370 that gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir is historic.

On his Facebook page under the title ‘Thiruthappedunna Thettukal’ (‘Wrongs that are being corrected’), he says:

“The step that should have been taken in 1948 was taken today after a delay of 78 years. Article 35 A and 370 that were made overriding the Indian constitution have been scrapped. Due to these sections, how may Indian youths have had to sacrifice their lives? How much wealth that should have gone to the poor people of India has been looted? Actually, it was today (August 5, 2019) that India became one.

The BJP can take pride in the fact that it is the party that will practise what it preaches. Now on, all terrorism will reduce to ashes.

Kudos to Modiji, Amit Shah, BJP government, all Indian citizens who have sacrificed their lives...shed blood for this day. Congratulation also to Subramonia Swamy.
