THRISSUR: A young film director Nishad Hassan who was abducted by a gang has been found from Kodakara. His family had lodged a complaint that an unidentified gang attacked and then abducted him. Police said that he is under treatment now. Police are investigating the exact nature of the incident.
The complaint says that he was abducted after attacking his wife travelling with him. Hassan was abducted while he was travelling in a car with his wife Pratheeksha at Mullur on Amala-Guruvayur Road on Wednesday. The Peramangalam police had registered a case on the incident.
His wife Pratheeksha said a gang was following them in a car. When the couple stopped their car to give way, some people came from the other car and abducted Hassan. Pratheeksha, who tried to rescue her husband, also suffered injury and has been admitted to a hospital.
Hassan is the director of latest Malayalam movie Viplavam Jayikkanullathanu. It has entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest uncut movie. The two-hour movie released on August 2 was taken in a single shot. Hassan had some dispute with the producer of the movie.
