CHAVAKKAD: A youth was electrocuted when he came in touch with a broken power line. The line was found fallen in a waterlogged area. The youth has been identified as Shariq (24), son of Shamsudeen of Palappetti. Shariq was a zoology student of Manipal University. The incident happened in front of M K Super Market at Enamavu road. A milk man saw him lying on the road Sunday morning at 5 am. On being informed, the highway patrol police on duty reached the spot. The cops too suffered a shock while trying to lift Shariq. Later KSEB employees disconnected the line. The body has been taken to Hayath Hospital in Chavakkad.
