NEW DELHI: As the UN Security Council has started a meeting to discuss the Kashmir issue, Chinese ambassador has come up pointing fingers at India. While expressing his concern of the human rights situation in Kashmir, Chinese ambassador Zhang Jun said that both India and Pakistan should sort out the issue through a diplomatic way.

Zhang said, "The situation in Kashmir is very tense and dangerous." It must be noted that China is the only country among the five permanent members to support Pakistan in the UN Security Council meeting. All other nations extended their support to India in the meeting.

Meanwhile, India has stated that it does not seek foreign advice as the Kashmir issue is a domestic issue. The UNSC meeting is an informal one which is attended by the five permanent members and ten non-permanent members of the Security Council. Earlier, it was China which had brought the Kashmir issue to the Security Council following the request from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
