Actor Prithviraj has urged for more help as Kerala is battling hard to overcome the loss caused by the recent flood. The actor made the request after receiving the best actor(critics) award at the SIIMA awards which was held at Qatar.
The actor began his speech by saying that as a representative of the Malayalam film industry, he has the responsibility to speak on behalf of the people of Kerala. "More than two lakh people have been affected by the flood and they are currently staying at various relief camps. Among those affected people, the majority don't even have a concept regarding their future. Hence, we need to do all we can to help them overcome the situation. I would also like to request you all to help Kerala," the actor said.
The actor further added that though the entire Malayalam film fraternity has made contributions to help the flood victims, he does not think that will be enough to serve the purpose. He added, "Those who don't have an idea about making the donations can learn it by visiting the social media handles of Mohanlal, Tovino, AMMA association or myself." Prithviraj won the award for his performance in the film 'Koode' directed by Anjali Menon. Several other prominent stars of the South Indian film industries were also present at the function.
