Actor Dharmajan Bolgatty’s statement that the government systems are a failure in delivering flood relief to the public, had stoked a controversy. He came down heavily on the government during a channel discussion. Money flowed to the relief fund in the last floods. But there was no mechanism in the state to deliver this money to the victims. We have a chief minister in our state. We have ministers, MPs, MLAs, district panchayat, collector, block and grama panchayats. Yet the people did not benefit from it. Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) donated Rs 5 crore to the relief fund, Dharmajan had stated.
Many had come forward in the social media supporting him and also criticizing Dharmajan. Now, actor Joju George has come in support of Dharmajan. I strongly believe that there would be something in his statement. Dharmajan is the most genuine person I have ever seen in the film industry, he said.
Frankly speaking, I thought about this when Dharman said this. It is not fair to opine without understanding facts. I know Dharmajan more than a comedian. He is a good reader and a man who talks good ideas. I believe that there would be something in what he said.
Joju said politicians only cannot be blamed for this, officials too have a major role in it. System is in their hands and they are the ones who have to execute things. I had to go to the village office for nearly 15 days for my personal matter.
