BENGALURU: People at the HSR Layout area in Bengaluru received the shock of their lives on Sunday when a drunk driver drove his SUV car onto the crowded footpath. It is believed that at least seven pedestrians got injured in the accident.

Police said, "A car driven by a drunk man ploughed into pedestrians and injured seven people in Bengaluru's HSR Layout." The driver was soon arrested for drunken and rash driving. The incident occurred around 3 pm while many were present on the street for shopping and other purposes. A CCTV footage obtained from a nearby hotel shows the SUV speeding onto the pavement.
