Latest report suggests that the producers of the highly anticipated film 'Randamoozham' has backed out from the project. It is learnt that the producer, SK Narayanan, has also accused director Sreekumar Menon of cheating him in the name of the film. It was social worker Jomon Puthanpurakkal who revealed the latest development regarding the film through his Facebook page.
In his Facebook post, Jomon says that SK Narayanan had addressed Sreekumar Menon as an 'international fraud.' He says that Sreekumar had cheated the producer by hiding details about the case filed by writer MT Vasudevan Nair against him. Sreekumar had also convinced the producer that he had signed a 12-year contract with the writer regarding the rights of the script. However, the constant delay in commencing the project led the producer to inquire about the matter following which he came to know about the legal tussle between the writer and director. It must be noted that industrialist BR Shetty, the film's first producer, had also backed out from the project citing differences with the director.
Earlier, MT Vasudevan had filed a case against Sreekumar Menon demanding the return of the rights of 'Randamoozham' script following which the Kozhikode Sub court had ruled the case in favour of the writer.
